APRIL 7, 2020 SPRING ELECTION
Per State statute 7.15(15) Provide notice of outstanding provisional ballots. As soon as possible after the closing hour for all polling places in the municipality on election night, the municipal clerk shall post at his or her office and on the Internet at a site announced by the clerk before the polls open, and shall make available to any person upon request, a statement of the number of electors who have cast provisional ballots at the election in the municipality that cannot be counted as of that closing hour because the electors have not satisfied relevant voting requirements.

Notice of Meeting of the Local and Municipal Board of Canvassers
on Monday, April 13, 2020 at 4:00 p.m., pursuant to the provisions of Wis. Stat. § 19.84, the Election Inspectors will convene as a joint meeting of the Local Board of Canvassers and the Municipal Board of Canvassers for the purpose of conducting the local and municipal canvasses pursuant to Wis. Stat. §§7.51 and 7.53(1). This meeting will be open to the public pursuant to Wis. Stat. §§ 19.81-89.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Thursday April 2, 2020 Public Hearing for the Citizen Participation Plan will now be held virtually through GoToMeeting. Instructions to access the meeting are below.
The Town Board of the Town of Underhill will conduct a public hearing regarding its proposed application for Community Development Block Grant – Public Facilities (CDBG-PF) funds on Thursday, April 2, 2020 at 8:30 PM via GoToMeeting. The public is invited to attend to learn about the CDBG program, to help identify additional community development needs, and to comment on the activities proposed to be included in the CDBG application.
The agenda for the public hearing is as follows:
- Identification of total potential funds
- Eligible CDBG activities
- Presentation of identified community development needs
- Identification of any community development needs by public
- Presentation of activities proposed for CDBG application, including potential residential displacement.
- Citizen input regarding proposed and other CDBG activities\

VOTING BY ABSENTEE BALLOT
Any qualified elector who is unable or unwilling to appear at the polling place on Election Day may submit a request to vote an absentee ballot to their municipal clerk. A qualified elector is any U.S. citizen, who will be 18 years of age or older on Election Day, who has resided in the ward or municipality where he or she wishes to vote for at least 10 consecutive days before the election. The elector must also be registered in order to receive an absentee ballot. Proof of identification must be provided before an absentee ballot may be issued.
You must make a request for an absentee ballot in writing or online at MyVote.wi.gov.
Contact your municipal clerk and request that an application for an absentee ballot be sent to you for the primary or election or both. You may also submit a written request in the form of a letter or you may apply for an absentee ballot online at MyVote.wi.gov. Your written request must list your voting address within the municipality where you wish to vote, the address where the absentee ballot should be sent, if different, and your signature. You may make application to your municipal clerk for an absentee ballot in person, by mail, by fax, by email or at MyVote.wi.gov.

The deadline for making application to receive an absentee ballot by mail is:
5 pm on the fifth day before the election, Thursday, April 2, 2020.
Note: Special absentee voting application provisions apply to electors who are indefinitely confined to home or a care facility, in the military, hospitalized, or serving as a sequestered juror. If this applies to you, contact the municipal clerk regarding deadlines for requesting and submitting an absentee ballot.

You may also request and vote an absentee ballot in the clerk’s office or other specified location during the days and hours specified for casting an absentee ballot in person.

The last day to vote an absentee ballot in the clerk’s office is Friday April 3, 2020 at 5 p.m.
No in-person absentee voting may occur on the day before the election. *Extended in-person absentee voting hours may be available by appointment. The municipal clerk will deliver voted ballots returned on or before Election Day to the proper polling place before the polls close on April 7, 2020. Any ballots received after the polls close will not be counted.

NOTICE is hereby given that on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at 6:00 p.m., at the Underhill Community Center, 5597 Cardinal Road, Gillett, WI, a public hearing on the Proposed 2020 Budget will be held.
Immediately following the Public Hearing, a Special Town Meeting will be held to approve the town tax levy for 2019 taxes payable in 2020.
The proposed budget in detail is available for inspection in the Clerk’s off by appointment.
