Town of Underhill

The Town of Underhill is accepting sealed bids for the sale of surplus fire department tender truck chassis.

Bid Deadline: November 2, 2026, at 7:00 PM

Sealed bids will be opened and considered as an agenda item during the Town of Underhill regular meeting beginning at 7:30 PM on November 2, 2026. The Town reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.

Equipment for Sale:

(2) 1989 General Motors (GM) 7500 Series TopKick Chassis

Features include:

• Caterpillar 3126 engines
• Allison automatic 6-speed transmissions
• 12,000-pound front axles
• 21,000-pound rear axles
• 34,000-pound suspension rating
• Heavy-duty spring packs

These units are being sold as-is, where-is, with no expressed or implied warranties. Any remaining emergency radios, warning lights, or other emergency equipment will be removed prior to sale.

The units are known as Truck 12 and Truck 13. Bidders may submit bids on either truck individually or on both trucks as a pair. Please clearly indicate on your sealed bid which truck(s) you are bidding on.

Inspections are by appointment. The trucks can be started and run for inspection purposes; however, they will not be permitted off the premises for test drives.
